A little "soapy" story

Well - this story is not for the weak stomachs in the room...just warning you!

Jon and I are living in a hotel (again) this week in DC, where he is working while Ruari (his boss) is out of town. Jon had the opportunity to take the first shower during our stay, and he took it at night. The next morning - I woke up - and hopped in the shower. As most of you know - Jon and I are COMPLETELY BLIND when it comes to seeing w/o glasses or contacts - you can forget it. Well, I was frantically searching around the bathtub for the soap bar that Jon used the night before b/c I had forgotten my body wash at home. I finally found it on top of the shower ledge...above the faucet that the shower water comes out of. Reaching up high...I grabbed the soap and continued my shower. After I got out - I decided to give Jon a hard time about where the soap was. I was like - "Uh - way to hide the soap clear up high on the shower..."...

Now here's the nasty part...he DIDN'T!!! Ick - I am throwing up in my mouth just thinking about it. Apparently the maid must have missed it from the person who stayed in our room before us!!! UGH...YUCK...ICK...BARF...
Jon keeps telling me "It was soap...it has to be clean!"...but still...

Child-like Faith

This is so precious! It is our first "God-moment" with our daughter Kennedy. :)
Last week - she started bowing her head and mumbling a bunch - and then looking up and saying "A-MEN"! She covers her eyes up - with her folded hands. It is the most precious thing a parent can watch at this age. The other day - her and Jon had already prayed for our lunch - but I was still standing up in the kitchen. When I sat down to eat - I dug right in - and Kennedy said - "MOMMY!", mumbled a bit with a bowed head, and then yelled "A-MEN!" Guess I got a scolding!!! :)

Toddler bed...

Kennedy's crib turns into a toddler bed - all you do is take off one side railing. WEll - we have tried this - and she's fallen out (mostly for naps). Jon and I purchased a new railing to help her stay in - but it didn't go so well! :(
She cried and cried and cried. She wanted her bed back. Just because WE weren't ready to fight it out...(choose your battles)... we decided to put her crib back together! :) I think we're going to wait a few more months... :)

Mile-high club...

Ok not really...but I forgot about this funny story! I don't think we told anyone...but it's worth a laugh - or at least a chuckle! :)

On our way home from flying to Kansas - I had to use the restroom sooo bad! Well - I went to the "bathroom" - which is the tightest little space to begin with...the door folds IN - causing even LESS space - and there is a mirror as soon as you walk in.

I got confused b/c the locks I've always seen on the plane say "Occupied" when someone is in there!! Well - I couldn't figure out if it was busy or not...so
I pushed the door in - REAL HARD...and hit a guy who was doing #1 - in the back of the head with the door!!! I could see his face - b/c of the mirror...TOTALL AKWARD!!! He muttered a curse word - and I took off running!!! It was great b/c about that time - someone else needed to go - and was standing by the door when he came out, so he thought it was her - and shot her a dirty look!

Let's just say - I held it the rest of the flight home!! :)
