Good news and bad news

Good news first:
Our house is officially off the market...which means I don't have to keep it "Show ready" for the last 2 weeks of pregnancy - or the first month of a new baby! whew!

Bad news:
I'm deathly afraid of our neighbors. I don't trust any of them...they are very scary. I'm seriously praying that God protects us for the last few months that we are here.

My Little Helper

I love having Kennedy in the kitchen when I cook...it's our special Mother/Daughter time. Usually I give her some measuring cups and spoons to play with...but today I was feeling extra patient...so I gave her goldfish and an ice cream spoon. :) I love letting her be creative and I love letting her make a mess once in a while! :)

Here's what I got...

When it rains...it pours...

Been kind of a crazy week thus far...thank goodness it is Friday!
Our heat went out at the beginning of the week...which was a little troublesome b/c it got down in the 30's! Jon was traveling for work...and when Kennedy and I woke up - it was 57 degrees in our house! BRRR!!!

Well...once it started to get warm outside...we realize the AC was out too! This normally wouldn't be a big deal. It's ONLY 80 degrees....but to a 9 month-pregnant lady...it feels like over 100!!! :) I'm sweating in places I didn't know I had! :) (Linda - I knew you'd appreciate that line)

SO then last night...Jon (my sweet husband) went downstairs to switch over the laundry and discovered that our dryer wouldn't even turn on! He took it apart and couldn't seem to diagnose the problem...

So...all that to say...we are living somewhat primative today... well - besides TV and running water and electricity and refrigerated food. Ha-ha! Good thing we bought a home warranty when we listed our house with the realtor. Let this be a lesson to you!!! It's worth the money for the warranty. All of these repairs have ended up costing us - a grand total of...ready for this.... $110!!! Can't beat that!
